Partners
Laboratories are the largest consumers of energy, the third largest consumers of water, and produce some of the most challenging waste to divert from the landfill on UNC’s campus.
With around 14% of UNC’s gross floor area used for lab spaces, the UNC Green Labs effort is a pan-campus initiative. To effectively engage all UNC lab personnel in sustainability efforts, UNC Green Labs partners with a variety of campus initiatives, organizations, departments, and academic institutions as well as non-campus affiliated groups.
